Currently,environmental issues increasingly become the people s focus of attention in the word, so how to handle the garbage problem and the tools used to deal with the garbage has become a hot research pursued.Garbage trucks are an import means that used for urban waste to transit outside,the garbage trucks specifications are not the same when work in different occasions. The research that how to improve and variant build on existing the garbage truck also increasingly get more and more attention by the experts all over the word.Because the top-down design approach in line with the general designers process of the design thinking,it can complete the product at the same time with the designer s thinking,a large number of domestic and foreign scholars research into the top-down design methodology. Top-down design approach compared with the traditional bottom-up design approach,it has saved time that the designer design lonely,at the time that designer thinking, the design process will be reflected directly in the text or in the form of drawings,it plays a import role for achieving rapid product. But for more complex products, top-down design methodology is not mature, and have not been widely used, especially in NX software applications are even scarcer.Therefore,the issue for the product that such complex like the post-compression loading garbage truck but then but then affect human life greatly,proposed a design methods based on top-down NX software,exploit the back-loading compression refuse collector and ejector car variant design system. The main work of this paper are the following three aspects:1. Study the top-down design methodology in detail system, for the NX software, make a complete and in compliance with NX actual operating system, simple and practical top-down design flow solutions.2.Explore the product knowledge management methods, utilize NX secondary development function to extract and express product knowledge and management; to find the best combination of product knowledge management methods and NX software top-down design methodology to make self top-down design methodology and product knowledge management methods can be combined well in NX, to make top-down design process smoother running in NX; use NX software secondary development function combined product knowledge management, and make the ejector of back-loading compression refuse collector as the specific implementation of the object, make the variant design based on the structural characteristics of the ejector and the use of site conditions..3.After the combination of the structural characteristics of compression garbage truck loading and the use of field conditions, results of its important components, interconnected relationships, and important driving parameters,apply the top-down design flow program that based on the NX software and the integration of knowledge management products into back-loading compression refuse collector.
