Abstract:With the high pace of China’s urbanization, Back-loading Compression Refuse Collector (hereinafter referred to as garbage trucks) has been widely applied. As the main working part of the garbage truck, the frequency of hydraulic system’s failure is increasing rapidly.As the hydraulic system of the garbage truck developing increasingly complex, the manifestations of the failure is becoming increasingly complex, and the difficulties of implementing fault diagnosis is increasing as well. Thus the research of fault diagnosis in the garbage truck hydraulic system has important implications for improving operating efficiency.In summing up the basis of a large number of domestic and foreign literatures, the fault diagnosis in garbage truck hydraulic system has been systematically studied by the method of theoretical analysis, simulation and experimental analysis in this paper.The main contents of this paper include:1. On the basis of the research status and trends of the hydraulic system fault diagnosis technology, a combined fault diagnosis method based on PCA-SVM methods and traditional expert system is chosen.2. The working principle of the garbage truck hydraulic system’s work equipment and structural features are elaborated in detail. The failure mechanism of the garbage truck hydraulic system has been analyzed and common failure symptoms, causes of failure and fault repair measures are summarized.3. The AMEsim simulation model of the garbage truck hydraulic system and its working device is established, following by simulation analysis of the typical failure modes of typical loop system, failure data samples corresponding fault simulation are collected for the study of fault diagnosis methods.4. The basic theory of principal component analysis (PCA) and support vector machine (SVM) are introduced and the PCA-SVM fault diagnosis method has been used in the garbage truck hydraulic system with the neural network method comparing. 5. The fault diagnosis system of garbage truck is overall design, implementation of key technologies in the diagnostic systems were studied: expert knowledge is acquired by fault tree approach, implicit knowledge is acquired by PCA-SVM method, following by the method of knowledge representation and reasoning. Finally, fault diagnosis system are developed and implemented by Visual Basic, MATLAB and Microsoft Access.6. The fault diagnosis systems of the garbage truck hydraulic system designed in this paper have been tested by the method of experiments.
