The Research On Urban Color Planning And Control In China Based On Cognition Imagery

As one of the most intuitive and easy—understanding visual elements of city landscape, Urban Color has been subject to public attention all a way. However, it is the problem that Urban Color has lack of personality and urban characteristic has loss which are widespread in China. How to build the color way accord with urban characteristic and urban culture connotation has become a core subject in the field of Urban Color Planning in China. Urban Color Planning is a new field in China.since the 2000 Beijing development of Urban Color seminar, many large and medium-sized city began to carry out the research and planning of the Urban Color. In recent ten years, The Urban Color Planning and research in our country was based on the introduction of foreign color planning theory and empirical, the theoretical system of Urban Color Planning is still in the process of constant supplementary. This paper attempts to explore the Urban Color Imagery and the corresponding Urban Color Planning content, methods and strategies from the cognitive characteristics of people. The paper uses a combination of theoretical research and empirical analysis research methods. Supported by theories of cognitive psychology and Gestalt psychology, the paper discuss the Urban Color Imagery in system and explore the evolution characteristics and the relevant color scene contents form formation to deepen. Combined with the discussing on Urban Color Imagery and practical experience, the paper pulled figure-ground relationship into Urban Color Planning content and analysis methods and propose the concept of Urban Theme Color. In addition, This paper pulled in one of the research results of color psychology in Japan--- color image coordinate system in order to provide a method reference for the meeting point of the city culture and Urban Color. Based on summing up the exited Urban Color Planning methods in our country, this paper applies the urban design analysis method to the analysis of the color space for enriching Color Planning methodology. Finally, according to the elements of Urban Color Imagery and China’s urban planning system, this paper analyses planning strategies of different types and planning levels and demonstrates it by projects that author participated in. In a word, the study of Urban Color Planning and control based on cognitive imagery is using methods of cognitive psychology and discussing Urban Color Planning contents,methods and strategies pointing at the general characteristics and problems of urban scene in our country for providing an efficient path to shape the integrity and personality of Urban Color scene.
