Brick machinery is a kind of equipment which is used to produce materials for walls such as bricks and tiles and so on. Considering the low efficiency of the productive process of bricks and tiles at present, an automatic production line is developed and a series of optimization and analysis in the key equipment of the brick machinery that is vacuum extruder are calculated. Vacuum extruder is the key equipment in the brick machinery and the quality of mud which is extruded by the vacuum extruder reamer influence the quality of the shaping body. Actually, the analysis and research about the extrusion process of the mud with vacuum extruder are rare and develop very slowly. What’s more, blades of the vacuum extruder reamer show fractured defects constantly. Therefore, it’s necessary to execute deeper research and optimizing, which can provide new theoretical support for the designing of the vacuum extruder.Based on the finite element method, fluid dynamics, rheology, measuring technique and the theory of optimization design and so on, this paper select JKY85-550type vacuum extruder as the research object, and execute the jobs as follows,(1) In the view of the fractured phenomenon of the vacuum extruder reamer blades in the process of production in practice, selecting JKY85-550type vacuum extruder as the research object, establishing the reamer model in the PRO/E software and then leading it to ANSYS Workbench, loading and analysis to the finite element model are calculated. The Von-Mises equivalent stress and radical displacement diagrams of the dragon shaft under actual working condition are obtained and the reasons which result in the appearance of fractured defects with the dragon shaft. The dragon shaft model which conforms to the requirements of the working condition of safety is acquired.(2) Setting up the model of brick and tile vacuum extruder head with PRO/E software, leading it into the CFX module of ANSYS Workbench, velocity distribution of the head’s flow field is acquired after the analysis to the fluid and the factors of quality defects in the extrusive mud are found out. Speed difference between the head and mouth of the machine is obtained through analysis and the optimal size of the head is acquired under the condition of the minimum pressure according to optimizing design.(3) An automated production line which includes pushing blank mechanism, transporting blank mechanism, distributing mechanism and the robot setting automatic machine etc is developed with the usefulness of CAD software and the automated production line has been put into use. Thus, the productive efficiency of bricks and tiles is improved and the labor intensity is reduced greatly.The new designed and developed automated production line has been acquired the recognition by the market and has been already applied into practices in many companies. Through the analysis to vacuum extruder reamer blades, reasons which lead to fracture of the blames easily in the process of practical production are sought out and the solutions which can solve the problem are given, which can offer theoretical basis to future design of vacuum extruder reamer shafts. At the same time, the design cycle and cost are shortened as well.
