NingHai,a town with long history and culture deposits where located in the eastern coast of ZheJiang.In history,the drama perform in NingHai is very frequently,especially in Ming and Qing dynasty,the drama in NingHai is into the golden age,known as the "mothertown of drama".The popular drama in addition to local level tone,also includes BeiJing opera,ShaoXing opera, XinChang opera and so on.While the prosperity of drama performance gives a strong development to the local drama stage.According to research,there still has about120ancient stages remaining.Those ancient stages combine chinese traditional aesthetics and magnificent manufacturing.NingHai’s ancient stage is the sixth batch of state emphasis culture relic unit announced by the state council.Also it’s timed honored and has performed accumulation,set the opera art,design aesthetic,cultural connotations in one,the most common of which is ancestral stage.Its layout is elegant,beautifully decorated,not only for carrying gathering the local clan and ruling the manners but also witness the development and prosperity of local opera art.The author combines field study and theoretical research,from the local culture background to the history of ancient stage and its decoration art,culture meaning and other areas to further analysis and give effective method for the protection of NingHai’s ancestral stage.This study provides reference information for the development of China’s traditional ancestral stage.But this article is aimed at ninghai ancestral hall stage of decorative arts and the cultural connotation behind, is the protection and development of basic data, it remains to be further follow-up study.
