The appropriate transmission line maintenance equipment is important guarantee andbasis of repairing electric power successfully. There are the vast amount of type and modelof industrial equipment. Different repair lines and maintenance modes correspond todifferent tools and instruments. For example, the insulating rods with same diameter havevarious composition forms of size. It is easy to be confused because of the minutedifference of the size of tools for the same purpose. Therefore, the standardized operationsof transmission line maintenance are helpful to improve the quality of maintenance workand to ensure the safety of personal and equipment. The standardized operations oftransmission line maintenance involve the industrial equipment allotment which plays asignificant role on increasing repaired time and repaired efficiency of power lines. In thispaper, by analyzing the existing industrial equipment maintenance allotment mode, theallotment process is improved to standardize the operations of maintenance and to achievethe rapid allotment of tools and instruments when it is not at the maintenance site.Firstly, the system software of the standardized transmission line tool distribution isdesigned. This paper analyzes the maintenance/replacement of linear and strain towerinsulator strings and the configuration of tools and instruments under the complexconditions, such as ambient temperature, wind speed and ice covering. By calculating thetotal load line and the quality of bearing tool and incorporating the sag calculationmethods, the maintenance of industrial equipment are configured.Secondly, the hardware circuit of the configuration system is designed. Eachindustrial equipment with RFID or electronic tags=is uniquely encoded. The taginformation of equipment with software configuration is transmitted into hardwareprocessor by using ZIGBEE wireless communication. After the data processing, theequipment is recognized by RFID and the tag information is sent back to the systemdatabase. Then the allotment of maintenance equipment is finished.Finally, the system software and hardware test platforms are set up. The black box test is done for the allotment function of transmission line maintenance tools andinstruments. Test results show that allotment system is stable.
