| The earthen building in Fujian is one of the World Cultural Heritages, so it is of great significance to protect them. However, part of earthen building and its wood components are damaged to a certain degree because of its long history, weak awareness of protection in public and hysteretic management of protection, etc. So it is imperative to study and repair it systematically.In this study, it was systematically analyzed for wood components of earthen building and its main damage situation with wood science, wood testing technology, wood preservative technology and ancient building wood components repair technology, etc. And renovation plan, suitable for site operation, was made to repair wood components of earthen buildings. Materials of main wood components are cedar and existing preservative technology of them are wood drying and wood paint. It is good for fitness of wood components with great internal environment, advanced technology of using mud and construction and grooves-and-tongues joint structure in timber frame. Damage situation of wood components mainly take place in the parts which are very loaded and easily damp; main types of damage situations including decay, moth-eaten, cracks and abrasion are caused by damp and hot climate environment in local, disrepair and improper maintenance. According to repair principles of wood components, it was adopted with oriented and practicable renovation plan including chemical preservation, repair, replacement and reinforcement. Repair includes patch bonded repair and flush repair; replace includes localized replacement and overall replacement and localized replacement was mainly adopted with pier access and butt-joint; reinforcement includes mechanical reinforcement and chemical reinforcement and mechanical reinforcement can be divided into bolted connection and iron hoop and chemical reinforcement is mainly adopted epoxy adhesive to fill hollow column. New type of portable supercharged dropping device was adopted aiming to preservative treatment on local with mild decay. One device can be equipped with multiple infusion tubes and infuse multiple decayed places in the same time. Besides, with large liquid storage tanks, it doesn’t need to add liquid frequently. This device, adopted with supercharged dropping, can infuse any decayed places without dismantling any piece of wood component, which is of simple and convenient operation, good total work efficiency and great preservative effect. |
