The Application And Expression Research Of Local Culture In The Theme Park Planning And Design

Since the reform and opening-up policy, China’s economy has developedrapidly. People’s living standards continue to improve, and leisure time increase, sothe tourism industry develops rapidly. As a new type of tourism products in China’stourism industry, the theme park has become a modern tourism resource whichgrows fastest with its unique charm. But with the coming of information technologyand the world economic integration, cultural convergence is becoming serious dayby day, people consider less native culture into the construction of the theme park.Similar theme, purely for the purpose of economic benefit and so on, this kind oftheme parks emerge in an endless stream. Research shows that feature distinctivetheme parks have more vitality, and the integration of local culture is an effectiveway to highlight the charm and image of the theme park.In this paper, combining with the tutor’s project—"The planning of the WorldPear orchards amorous feelings of ecological culture theme park"，we focus on thetheme park with local culture as the breakthrough point. Then we explore localculture expression technique from macro planning, medium programming andmicro designing perspectives, and try to launch strategy system of local cultureexpression in the theme park planning and design.Firstly, the paper summarized the domestic and foreign research about themepark, determined the paper’s research perspective is the expression of local culture,explained and defined the related concepts. Secondly, the paper introduced thedevelopment and practice of the theme parks at home and abroad, then summarizedthe penetration and integration of local culture and the theme park. Thirdly, in thecase of Hui Park, we put forward some existing problems on the local culturalexpression of China’s theme park, and try to figure out the strategy system of localcultural expression in the theme park’s planning and design. Finally，in the case of"The planning of the World Pear orchards amorous feelings of ecological culturetheme park"， we confirm the strategies, and provide a reference for the expressionof local culture in theme parks.
