When people talk about the development of architectural design and interior design in t he last century, mostly they refer to the development of new construction technology and new building material, but they rarely talk about the changes in design technique and design style. In recent years, with the prosperity of economy, office space design has gradually gone beyon d the "form follows function " theory. For the whole office space design industry," cross-b order" design seems to become a design trend in both design style and aesthetic consumption concept. A time of "cross-border" has begun. This paper discussed the cross-border design of office space and its application in our practice.Nowadays, the scale and quantity of office building are increasing, and they are playing more and more important role in the society. There has been lots of research on cross-border design of office space in developed countries, fruitful results have been shown on academic conferences or published on journals. However, its research in China is rare. The paper was aimed to explore the elements of office space cross-border design and their relationship with office space, reevaluate the nature and the characteristics of modern office environment, and discuss its application in the design of new office space.Through literature review and case study, the elements of office space cross-border design were analyzed and integrated, and the rules of office space cross-border design were summarized.In conclusion, this paper analyzed the elements of office space cross-border design, discussed the theory of office space cross-border design through several cases, and discussed the influence of cross-border design on office space,, which could guide the design of office space in the future. In doing so, we can promote the cultural connotation of office space, improve the environmental quality of office space, and show the humanistic care for the users to the outside world.
