| With the upgrade of strategy on the development of metropolitan area, city-region, regional integration and other regional cross-border of urban, metropolis one-hour living circle, urban integration and other conceptions has deeply rooted in the heart of people. The location of the residential space in big cities, especially in megacities, has expanded from the city center to the suburbs and cross-border areas. The construction of residential space development gradually removes the border. Residential space around the cross-border area of megacities in China is developing at a breathtaking pace, while the study of this kind of residential space focuses mainly on residential suburbanization and macro policy research, instead of specific production process, dynamic mechanism, or the microscopic inspection cross-border residents. This article explained the causes of cross-border residential space and its development characteristics and dynamic mechanism, and carried out our investigations and analysis on the living conditions of the residents in those areas, hoping to make some contributions to the social research and provide inspiration for the development of the next cross-border residential space. Through the investigation of Nanjing’s early cross-border comprehensive residential empirical investigation, taking-Jurong Fenghuang Cheng on the east of Nanjing as an example, the paper studied the development process and mechanisms of the cross-border residential space, and the characteristics of residents’ social life in those areas, and revealed megacities cross-border residential space production comprehensive motivation mechanism and the existing problems by means of literature review, case study, interview and questionnaire survey and systematically analysis.This article altogether constitutes of six parts. Chapter 1 is to elaborate the research background, research target, research area and research methods, and to set the research framework and technology route. Chapter 2 reviews the related research issues of cross-border residential space and the theoretical basis. In this chapter, the paper summarized the concepts of cross-border residential space and the literatures on two aspects including residential suburbanization and crossover and urban cross-border growth. The space production is selected as the main theoretical research view in this part. The paper also concluded that the main body of production is the main power, capital and class based on the domestic scholars on concrete urban space production empirical study. Combining this conclusion with special elements of the regional city, core city and edge city of cross-border residential space, the paper built the specific research framework. Chapter 3 covers the current situation of the development of Nanjing cross-border residential space. This chapter shows the construction of Nanjing cross-border residential space has gone through the high-end early stage, mass concentration stage and integrated stage. The space distribution shows significant agglomeration situation on the north and east of Nanjing. Chapter 4 is about the process of space production and dynamical mechanism of the super-city cross-border living space. Push factors from three grades were analyzed:the government, the capital and the residents in the space production. And the dynamic mechanism of the super-city cross-border residences was summarized at the end of this part. Chapter 5 shows the condition of the cross-border residents’ life reconstruction and the problems remained in the cross-border residences. According to questionnaire survey and interviews, cross-border residents are mainly composed of high-end living, initiative to improve, passive removed, industrial park settled and external dwell. There are problems such as space governance lag, social interaction and identification of polarization and the heterogeneity of facilities configuration in the current cross-border residences. At last the paper brings forward the idea of founding the system for residential space expanding on regional level. Chapter 6 is about the conclusion and expectation. It answered the questions posed at the beginning of the paper and summarized the main conclusions:space type of megacity cross-border residential space tends to popularized and integrated. The role of developers’ capital and local government is much stronger than the megacity. Space governance, facilities configuration, social re-production are still the difficulties in the space production of the megacity cross-border residential space. At the very last, the paper pointed out the lack of this research, and looked forward to the research direction in the future. |
