In recent years, along with China ’s rapid socio-economic development and populationgrowth slowed, China’s aging trend is increasingly evident. The increasing number ofelderly people, to continue to bring pressure on urban construction, coupled with ouraging building started late, slow development, can not match the increasing needs of olderpersons in many ways. These problems are mainly embodied in two aspects: on the onehand, the original city parks is difficult to meet the growing demand for the use of aging;on the other hand, urban parks planning and design stage inevitably city impact ofconstruction brings, resulting in lower per capita green space and many other issues. In theelderly can be healthy, happy and dignity become a social problem to be solved, theirrational and wasteful of these developments has become more worthy of attention. In theelderly continue to strengthen the national health insurance, pension insurance andhousing security, while older people how to use a lot of leisure time after retirement alsodeserve attention. We should encourage older people to communicate out of the room tothe outdoors and exercise. A good event space suitable for the elderly, very help slow therate of aging and the elderly body to improve the quality of life of older. Meanwhile, theelderly to participate in a wider range of social activities, so that they also have a healthyphysique really appreciate the old music. Furthermore, in order that they can spend aquiet and peaceful old age and create favorable conditions. Based on this, how to plan anddesign of urban parks suitable for the elderly, and become China’s aging buildingproblems to be solved. This article focused on behavioral, psychological and physiologicalcharacteristics of the elderly to focus on investigation and analysis by the system of datacollection, planning and design of parks principles and methods suitable for the elderly tosummarize the research papers. I used field surveys, interviews, questionnaires,photographs and other forms of survey sites fully understand. By investigating theactivities of the elderly, summed up the motivation for the aged, the scope of activities ofthe elderly, the elderly and other activities, and frequency. In line with the existingactivities of the elderly on the basis of the findings, the activities for the elderlysub-categories, sub-level processing. Furthermore, for the elderly and the surroundingarea where the activity levels of different types and levels of activities, such as acombination of factors, activities planning and design appropriate category, a reasonableallocation of funds and manpower, resources, limited resources to maximize social utility service in the majority of the people. Design and construction of the follow-up to theelderly activity space to provide a reference and recommendations.
