In recent years, with the rapid development of economy in China, the progress of construction that closely related to China’s economic lifeline is constantly speeded up. The scale and quantity of construction are in rapid growth. The construction of industrial and civil engineering, road and bridge engineering, water conservancy and other fields are particularly prominent. There is a lot of problems, especially the shortage of bearing capacity of the structure, the large deformation of concrete structure, excessive and premature excessive cracks are more prominent problems. In the early construction of China, because of the long period of time, in appropriation of the engineering technology, inadequate maintenance of using process, varying degrees of problems has found in many houses and bridge engineering. Mainly concentrated in the inadequation of bearing capacity, the oversize of deflection, deformation and crack that affect the normal use and security. Based on these problems, the reinforcement of the building structure is particularly prominent. Strengthened by carbon fiber is widely used in reinforcement technology for engineering. In recent decades, carbon fiber, as a kind of high-strength reinforcement material has been got widespread concern and applications with its superior performance. Its main features are the following. Firstly, the high strength and elastic modulus of are far superior to steel. Secondly, because of the stability of chemical, carbon fiber cloth is superior corrosion resistance to various substances. Thirdly, it is good to sealing cracks of reinforced concrete and well protected internally reinforced, inhibit corrosion of the reinforced. Finally, the light weight is far superior to steel.Now, carbon fiber is applied to the project ordinary, Bue to some structural members are strict for deformation and prevent. ordinary carbon fiber cloth reinforcement cannot play a very good effect, It is better to use prestressed strengthened carbon fiber technology. Before the carbon fiber cloth is affixed to the concrete member, pulling force is applied with some equipment in carbon fiber cloth. It greatly improved the flexural rigidity of the structural member, the deformation is reduced, and thusing inhibit cracks. Carbon fiber cloth is constituted by a lot of cloth-like fiber and the bending bility of single carbon fiber is poor and it is easy to be damaged. The mere use of prestressed tension device can not tensioned carbon fiber cloth. There are many difficulties in reinforcement technology of prestressed carbon fiber cloth, such as tension of prestressed carbon fiber cloth, the control of prestressed size, the design parameter of the prestressed carbon fiber cloth of the different reinforcements. For these reasons, prestressed carbon fiber reinforcement technology is rarely applied in practical engineering. The paper mainly made a detailed analysis to the carrying capacity, the development of crack and the deflection of beams strengthened by prestressed carbon fiber. Through comparative analysis of experimental results and theoretical knowledge, the paper summed up the mechanism of concrete beams with prestressed carbon fiber cloth and the stress analysis equations of the different stages. The paper also analyze and summarize the curve of bearing capacity of the beam reinforced by prestressed carbon fiber cloth, then applying the analysis of the results to the reinforcement of the actual project.
