Study On The Application Of Solid Wood In Interior Finishing Of Modern Building

The application of wood in buildings is being changed from simplicity, pureness andreal stuff to complexity, composition and imitation instead. Especially in modern interiorfinishing works, a variety of composite materials processed from natural trees areemerging in an endless stream, such as plywood, block board, particle board, fiberboard,etc. However the necessity for real stuff is still prevailing, namely solid wood. Summariesof construction method about wood materials in modern interior finishing are plentiful, butwhy still use solid wood in buildings? How to use it in modern interior finishing? Theseissues have not been fully recognized and systematically analyzed yet.Based on the above-mentioned background,I analyze the characteristics of solidwood and modern interior finishing features, and summarize application principles ofsolid wood used in modern interior finishing, as well as conclude the scope of applicationand specific manner of solid wood applied in modern interior finishing.At first, I describe the origin of the subject and purpose and significance of the study,defining of the core concept, making a general statement about the research status at homeand abroad, illustrating the technical line and research methods. Secondly,I deliberate theessence and characteristics of solid wood and requirement changes in modern interiorfinishing,and pose the solid wood used in modern interior finishing should follow theseprinciples, such as applicability, economical efficiency, aesthetics, environmentalprotection and technology progress. Thirdly, I classify the ranges of application for woodapplied in modern interior finishing with ground floors and ceilings in the horizontaldirection, walls, pillars as well as doors and windows in the vertical direction, generalizeits general scope of application. Then I probe into and sum up the general way of solidwood applied in modern interior finishing in existence forms, combination and connection types and surface treatments. Ultimately, I summarize research findings, pointing out theshortcomings and contribution of my research, making suggestions for further study.
