Recently, with the development of economy and the increasing of people scale, the shortage of energy and the pollution of the environment become more and more serious, which aroused the public concern around the world. Every nation begins to take measure to protect the environment, decrease the pollution and save energy. As an important part of the electricity consumption, campus street light get more and more attention. This dissertation focus on the outdate and low energy efficiency of the traditional campus street light control module, designing the campus street light control system based on ZigBee wireless network.The main content of the dissertation is as follows:Investigate the principle of the ZigBee technology, analyze the protocol stack, compare the three kinds of network topological structures, decide to realize the design by serial network. Study the composition of ZigBee devices, decide to use the CC2530of TI as the core of hardware design. Design the coordinator, router, terminal node corresponding hardware circuit. In addition, add corresponding sensor, controller and other external equipments according to the needs of the project. Design the software of this system, which includes wireless network software and client software. Use the integrated development environment IAR Embedded Workbench to realize the network software based on the master of function of each layer in ZigBee stack. Use VC++6.0to realize the function of client software based on the analysis of client’s requirement. The main function is check the light information and control the light remotely. Conduct a series of system test, which includes wireless module communication test, network building test, physical simulation test. Meanwhile, develop the remote light dimming and human body infrared induction dimming function base on LED light intensity is adjustable.This dissertation uses the ZigBee wireless network to realize the saving energy control of campus street light. In addition, through adding other sensors we could build intelligent network, which can realize the comprehensive monitoring of campus street light, then achieve the purpose of saving energy and improve electricity efficiency. Meanwhile, the advantage of this system also includes low power consumption, flexible control and high Intelligent degree. This design can also extend to the city lights and community light control area and so on, so it has very strong practicability.
