With the development of marine technology, it puts more demand on the technical abilities of equipment operation to ship management personnel. Therefore, improving the operation management capability of ship personnel has become the consensus of navigation circles. Two ways to train crew is training on the actual ship or simulative one.However, training on the actual ship has great limitation. It may cause accidents due to wrong operation and take a large sum of money in the process of training. Thus, this is why the study of simulation system turns into increasingly popular. Currently, It It’s not convenient to few oil purifier simulation systems given priority to hardware. As a result, it is very necessary to design a simple software-based simulation system of oil purifier.The paper takes the oil purifier system of COSCO PACIFIC container ship as simulation objects. According to the structure and working principle of oil purifier, the mathematical model is established by using the centrifugal force, Bernoulli’s equation and the law of conservation of energy and other basic theory. It includes three models named oil purifier model, network model and EPC50control model. Then, it is realized by the Visual C++6.0to design virtual scene of fuel oil purifier, main engine lube oil purifier, auxiliary engine lub oil purifier and oil purifier operating system. Hence, the oil purifier system structure of actual ship and the real working process will be reproduced through simulation. Next, it designs state parameter display interface of oil purifier system with iPlotX controls based on VC++. The simulation interface displays the real-time parameter curves such as pressure,flow rate and temperature under different work conditions and monitors the working process of the oil purifier system. The system simulates oil purifier working conditions to achieve the purpose of training personnel. Different fault conditions can bring about different fault phenomenon with sounding relevant warnings. The interface changes in real time owning to change of state parameters. To sum up, ship personnel will fully understand the phenomenon of fault condition and improve the ability of processing and analysis of the failure.Oil purifier simulation system designed in this paper can make personnel understand oil purifier system piping layout and structure without restricting by time and place. The oil purifier can give users a large immersive and telepresence through operating this simulation system. It can simulate the fault phenomenon and make personnel fully understand the cause of the problem, and then help them improve their abilities of the processing and analysis of the failure. The established simulation system can realistically simulate actual ship environment and reflect real working condition of oil purifier. It also saves a large amount of resources and achieves the goal of effective training.
