Under that large umbrella, our shipping companies universally suffered some business puzzlement and had been bleeding money in different degrees. Financial crisis not only has affected the shipping market, but also has brought some of the adverse impact to Chinese ports operation. Due to the shipping industry in recession, ship owners have begun to consider control of the ship’s operating costs to maximizing profits by optimizing routes structure, reducing fuel consumption and other ways. As a port service company, Tianjin Port Tugboat&Light Co., Ltd also will control operating costs as the most important way to achieve profit targets. Unlike the shipping enterprises, the harbor tugs companies prime costs represent the costs of labor, fuel, spare parts, lubrication and maintenance.
