Huizhou Architectural Culture Heritage Research In Contemporary Architectural Design

Hui Zhou architecture is viewed as the symbol of Hui Zhou for its distinctive style and its long history of architectural culture, possessing wide influence in Chinese construction circle. Both of natural and social conditions in Hui Zhou are changing as well. The culture of Hui Zhou architecture also need innovation to adapt to new environment. This demands that people continuously adjust to reach new balance of architecture culture, to satisfy the new requirements of people for architectural culture in new era. In the process of adjustment, people are not only simply protecting and inheriting traditional architectural culture, but also are creating a city space and architecture space which are with the advancement of time and harmony in perspective of development. This would sublimate traditional architecture culture to a new height. At this moment, the connotation of traditional architecture culture should not be limited as a stumbling block of development, but should be seen as the basic condition of development.The thesis discuss the origin and background of the topic, the purpose and meaning of the study, literature review, the content of the study, the core object of the study and research method. from the perspectives of natural causes, social causes and humanistic causes. The display form of Hui Zhou architecture culture: focus on the concrete embodiment of several kinds of culture, including Confucianism, Cheng-Zhu Confucian School, Taoism, Geomantic Culture, and Hui Business culture. identify the value of Hui Zhou architecture culture and principles of its inheritance; analyze the inheritance and application based on an example. at last further analysis of the inheritance of Hui Zhou architecture culture and the application of it in design of modern architecture based on an architectural scheme which the author himself took part in the design-- “Four Pavilion and One Center ” in Yue Xi.Based on these, this paper will induct and conclude the historical causes and display form of Hui Zhou architectural culture, trying to analyze its inheritance and application in modern architecture design, with hope that it will provide a strong theory basis for the spread of Hui Zhou architecture culture and the design of modern architecture. could provide beneficial enlightenment and reference for the protection and maintenance of present Hui Zhou architecture, the inheritance and worldly wide spread of Hui Zhou architecture culture.
