The Study On Development And Utilization Of The Non-metallic Minerals In Chaohu Area And Its Mine Planning

This paper analyzes development and utilization of non-metallic ores in Chaohu area of Anhui Province by geological prospecting of mining area, investigation and research of enterprises, analysis of experimental data and analysis of SWOT matrix.The main contents of thesis are as follows:It gives the natural characteristics and development status of non-metallic ores by references research, geological prospecting and investigation of enterprises. And it gives investigation on the state of eco-environment. The development scale of cement limestone accounts for a large part of non-metallic ores in Chaohu area. And limestone, dolomite, sandstone are the most typical non-metallic ores in Chaohu area.Testing chemical composition of limestone, dolomite, sandstone and other typical non-metallic ores by method of chemical analysis. And the test-result was contrasted with industrial standard of non-metallic ores to find the most effective utilization patterns.Through careful analysis of ores composition, structure and tectonics, we can find a good potential for development of limestone and Wutong formation sandstone with high purity, and dolomite should be processed with small amount of impurities.The possibility for road and building stone of Chaohu limestone were verified by compressive strength test in this paper.It gives economic evaluation of non-metallic ores, and find that only limestone meet the basic requirements of supply and demand, other non-metallic ores should be developed in future.It summarizes the advantages, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Chaohu non-metallic ores by SWOT analysis. The results show that the development of Chaohu non-metallic mining should combine SO strategie and WO strategie.This paper proposes a idea for unified planning of non-metallic mining, focusing on northern regions.
