Research On Environmental Art Of Literati-gathering Place In Song Dynasty

Literati have a special status in social class, and have a profound impact on traditional Chinese society. Literati gathering become an elegant affair with a higher spiritual pursuit, and the record and recall of the literature and paintings in literati-gathering place has become an unflagging creative theme in all the past dynasties. Song Dynasty is a prosperous time of traditional Chinese painting, and the literature and paintings under the theme of literati-gathering are quite prosperous. The image of literati-gathering and its environment are described in literature and painting in Song Dynast. Most of them have quite realistic, and they are the precious documents and image data for us to research on environmental art of literati-gathering place in Song Dynasty. The scenes of mountain or garden, the shape and layout of building or space, and the placing and shapes of furniture or furnishings fully reflect the temporal social habits and literati’s aesthetic taste and spiritual pursuit.On the view of environmental art, this paper creates a logic order in accordance with the living environment, analyzes the special time coordinate of literati-gathering activities in Song Dynasty through collating and studying literati-gathering in Song Dynasty, and carries out systematical collating and case studies on environmental art of material aspects and aesthetic taste in spiritual aspect in the literature and painting of literati-gathering in Song Dynasty.This paper is divided into four chapters. Chapter 1 is the introduction which introduces the research background, research purpose, research object, research status and research contents and methods; Chapter 2 researches and collates the history evolution of literati-gathering and focuses on the research on the social background of literati-gathering and the relationship between in the song dynasty set activities of and the literati in song dynasty and literati-gathering; Chapter 3 analyzes the environmental art of mountain forests, gardens, mansions and other literati-gathering places in Song Dynasty based on the paintings and literature evidences, studies the whole characteristics of the environmental art of literati-gathering place in Song Dynasty through the site selection, environmental, architecture, space, furniture and furnishings six aspects; Chapter 4 studies the relationship between the literati’s aesthetic temperament and gathering place; The conclusion which summarizes the environmental art achievements of literati-gathering places, analyzes the significance of history and reality, and prospects the follow-up research.
