Rapid development of three-dimension model of three dimensional CAD system is widely used in product design, and accelerate product design cycle. But in practice two-dimensional engineering drawing in design is still a major reference. At present, three-dimensional CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor,CATIA, have the function to generate engineering drawings, and drive engineering drawing by parametric model. However, generate engineering drawings directly doesn’t meet the national standard in the dimensioning and views expressed. It takes up most of design time to amend, and reduces the efficiency of drawing.The engineering drawing directly generated by 3D model do not accord with GB,the Dimension cannot be automatically adjusted, and the amount of work is large and heavy. With the parts of V2100 V-notch ball valve, this paper will research from the following aspects:Firstly, based on parametric modeling, consider the 3D modeling specifications for engineering drawing. Apply annotation data of 3D model sketching and research sketch drawing method to generate drawing annotation.Secondly, summarize specifications for parametric template of engineering drawing, include a variety of view generation method, input and adjust the dimensions and annotation.Thirdly, the method adjusts annotation of engineering drawing by using VB.NET programming language to call corresponding function of solidworks API.The research on rapid generation techniques of engineering drawings will improve the quality and efficiency, shorten product design cycle. As a result, it has certain theoretical significance and enterprise practicability.
