With the rapid development of economy, the human demand for functional design gradually increased, this leads to interaction design, it not only in advertising, information, etc in use and the development, also is able to use in the landscape design.In recent years, the design of residential area landscape water body is more accepted by the public, the development of very quickly, in the residential district to pop up quickly, and even become the important factor of people evaluate a residential landscape and standards. But at present the design of the residential area waterscape and there are still some defects, copying each other in some cases, the design of modeled phenomenon, copying foreign waterscape design, waterscape design caused by lack of local features. People aren’t just focus on waterscape landscape function, its design is human nature, whether designers in the design of fully considering the person’s behavior characteristic, also gradually become the focus of attention. Any designer doing design, people-oriented, as well as the safety of waterscape design must take into account the water hydrophilic, let residents can contact with water, to be able to fit in. Truly the water landscape design based on the theory of the interaction design research.This topic in the residential area landscape water body as the research object, establish the interactive water landscape this research direction, and try to build residential water landscape design based on the theory of interaction design principles and design of water landscape to meet people’s behavior and psychological needs, and the landscape at the same time to the benign interaction, and promote the unity of the aesthetic subject and object, eventually making residents in waterscape environment can feel the scene of residential water scene. This paper USES the basic theory of landscape design, plane composition, three-dimensional construction, water, the relevant theories of landscape design, landscape water body composition elements, the water landscape design process and methods, results and the performance of water landscape design, as well as the theory and practice of modern water landscape design and related theory and analysis method. Mainly around the characteristics of interaction design and the residential area of water body landscape design practice. The design method and design principle are analyzed.
