This dissertation which focuses on the design of the emergency buildings after the earthquake(EBAE for short) covers the current development status of the EBAE with the analysis of some existing EBAE and some design cases by designers from China and abroad are related to illustrate this issue.As is used in hostile environments,the EBAE should be designed and built based on high standard of both the functionality and aesthetics which in detail consists of the choice of structure, the use of material and the arrangement of the space.Besides of the practical needs, humanistic concern is also of great importance.The writer discusses the problem from four aspects including locality,flexibility,privacy and community,all of them are based on the psychological characteristics of the victims.After the analysis the writer makes an conclusion that the3-D printing technology could be used in this situation,meanwhile, the possibility and advantage of using this technology is discussed at the end of the paper.
