In recent years, with the rapid development of China’s economy, highway traffic volume is increasing, the proportion of large, heavy, overloaded and overweight vehicles is growing, when asphalt pavement often far from the design life of early damage on asphalt pavement,the shear failure is one of the major causes of failure. Therefore, to improve the service performance of asphalt pavement, reduce shear asphalt pavement damage this issue has become very urgent.This paper from the internal factors of asphalt pavement, such as materials and structures of asphalt mixture, using uniaxial penetration test on asphalt mixture shear performance study, to provide the basis for the anti-shear design of asphalt pavement. This research conducted uniaxial penetration test and unconfined compression tests on different types of asphalt, gradationsand, asphalt content, the content of needle and plate coarse particles, fine aggregate angularity of asphalt mixture. anti-shear properties were studied,analysis of the anti-shear index obtained the influence law of each factor, The results show that:the type of asphalt will directly affect the shearing properties of asphalt mixture have, asphalt mixture of different asphalt types, which angle of internal friction (?),cohesion C and shear strength of the three indicators of a larger difference;_aggregate gradation has a great influence on shear properties of asphalt mixture, especially a great impact on cohesion C and shear strength_of asphalt mixture; shear properties in the asphalt mixture are greatly influenced by the fine aggregate angularity,the shear strength and cohesion C with the reduction in the flow time decreases, but the angle of internal friction (?) is increased, but the change is very small. Secondly, in this paper, By range analysis and variance analysis in the orthogonal experiment, the effect and significance of various factors on the shear strength of mixture were obtained, The results showed that the gradation of asphalt mixture maximum shear properties influence and the impact of fine aggregate angularity of the material cannot be ignored. Finally, this paper based on above analysis combined with the engineering practice of mixture of anti-shear design, and using rutting test to evaluate the mixture, it is found the regularity of dynamic stability and anti-shear strength is not consistent.
