Asphalt pavement under iterative function of the high-temperature and the heavy- load produces the bigger shearing stress in the surface of pavement. Because of the shortage of the high-temperature shear strength of the asphalt mixture, the pavement engenders the serious rut. The high-temperature shear strength shortage turns out the asphalt mixture high-temperature stability shortage. If you want to radically resolve this problem, you must improve the shear resistance of asphalt mixture firstly. But most of others and our country's criterion and handbook don't relate to the pavement structure's shear mechanical index at present. Now we aren't sure how big shear resistance of asphalt mixture which is usually designed by Marshall. So studying the shear strength of asphalt mixture under high-temperature seems to be urgent.There are many test ways of evaluating the high-temperature stability of the asphalt mixture at present, but the triaxial test is the closest to the state of three-dimension bearing force of asphalt pavement, from the test we can obtain the parameters that can reflect the mechanical character of essence of material, and it provides evidence for further studying the shearing strength of asphalt mixture under high-temperature. Because the equipment of triaxial test is complications and expenses expensive, so people carries on the less of the systematic research in the domestic. I have a chance to use the equipment of triaxial test which import from England and to carry on research shear strength of asphalt mixture.This paper mainly analyse the influence factors of the asphalt mixture shear index C,φthrough the triaxial test.The influence factors include the asphalt mixture percentage of void variety, the ratio asphalt and different gradation, and different kinds of asphalt. And carried on the rutting tests,through analyzing the result of rutting test and triaxial tests ,we gained the good relation between the asphalt mixture shear index C,φand rut dynamic stability .On the basis of analytical result, we put forward the valid measure that improve the shear strength of asphalt mixture.This paper still adopts the shear index C,φwhich get from triaxial test , combining the checkout way of urban road shear , preliminary discussed a method which can checkouted shear shrength of asphalt mixture in the heavy-load asphalt pavement design.
