Residential landscape green space is indispensable to people live in settlements "green lung", to improve and improve the quality of the residents living environment. In today’s urban construction and rapid development, residential landscape construction has been rapid development. But, at present the rapid development of residential landscape at the expense of the high consumption of clean water, in the face of the current situation of the shortage of water resources, in the context of sustainable development, residential landscape also should achieve sustainable development, in the use of water resources is particularly important. The settlements of water-saving landscape construction will benefit the sustainable development of residential landscape. Remarkable achievements in the field of water-saving landscape research abroad, including reports of the landscape of residential water saving. The current domestic research of water-saving landscape is still in its infancy, the lack of system research, related research is limited to the settlements of watersaving landscape collection and utilization of rainwater resources. This study analysis of water-saving landscape both at home and abroad research achievements and shortcomings, in Hengshui city residential landscape as the specific research object, selecting nine representative residential areas, and a living area and the sample application of plant species, plant configuration, pavement materials and form, the form of landscape water, green irrigation mode and field investigation, the present situation and problems of water and each residential property management departments to provide relevant information, from the Angle of water-saving Hengshui city present situation of the construction of the residential landscape is analyzed. Overall, Hengshui city residential landscape maintenance is established on the basis of a large amount of consumption of clean water, belong to "Hao Shui Xing garden", and "water" is mainly manifested in the waterscape maintenance and management, plant configuration, and maintenance management, no rational utilization of unconventional water resources such as water and rain. To solve above problems, this study from the landscape planning and design in the early to mid of engineering technology, and later landscape maintenance management put forward a series of methods or reconstruction measures of water-saving landscape construction, mainly including the following: residential greening plant species selection, residential landscaping, plant configuration, improve the residential green space watering conditions, to set up the comprehensive utilization of residential water system, establishment of artificial wetland, establishment of residential water use system, the reasonable scientific management of maintenance, to set up the design of the rainwater ecological groups, watersaving waterscape and water landscape design and apply. Through analysis and study of hengshui city residential water landscape, and combined with residential mainland family courtyard landscape present situation, for the living area landscape design project, provides reference for the hengshui city residential development of water-saving landscape and the suggestion, to achieve the purpose of promoting the sustainable development of residential landscape.
