Research On Landscape Regeneration Of Industrial Remains In Fuzhou Based On Regeneration Value

Rapid urbanization has brought some important problems, such as the regeneration of urban internal structure and the change of industrial structures. The adjustment of industrial structure and the rise of newly developed industry make the traditional industries disappear gradually. A large number of industrial remains need to be settled. Some with location advantages and high regenerative values remain to be developed and regenerated. After the reform and opening up, Fuzhou gradually implement the plan of comprehensive land development, thus the city changes rapidly, facing the similar settling problems of industrial remains caused by the city expansion and industrial restructuring. In recent years, especially, the government and investors have begun to attach importance to the re-exploitation and re-utilization of industrial buildings, and made attempt to reuse the industry remains of the industry transitional period. Fuzhou is opportunity-filled in the integration and renewal of city resources, but the challenges are also inevitable.This research will take the regeneration of Fuzhou city as an opportunity, and adopt the perspective of landscape design in the research of the regeneration of industrial remains. It goes through the developing background and history of the landscape regeneration of domestic and foreign industrial remains, thus a comparison is made according to the researches and practices, and the conclusion is drawn. By means of the literature data and field investigation, this research starts from the industry development and general situation of the industrial remains regeneration in Fuzhou city, to sum up the characteristics and shortcomings of Fuzhou’s industrial remains regeneration, and a detailed analysis is made by selecting the representative projects of remains regeneration.According to the multi-level research basis above, the research proposes suggestions and strategies of the industrial remains regeneration in Fuzhou from two aspects, respectfully the macro control and the practice method. At the level of macro control, the importance of the census work and the perfection of regeneration mechanism is stressed, a classification of various regeneration mode is made, and the principle of industrial landscape regeneration is explained. Finally, the specific methods of planning and designing regeneration projects are elaborated, from the perspectives of resource assessment, subject positioning, spatial strategies, single building, the reconstruction of landscape environment and so on. Some basic survey information of industrial remains regeneration in Fuzhou is given in the appendices. It is hoped that this research will give some advice and suggestions for the regeneration of Fuzhou’s industrial remains in the future, and provide the reference to deal with the relationship between city renewal and industrial remains.
