The Research On Regeneration Of Xi’an Urban Industrial Remains

Driven by post-industrial development, China has also entered a development stageof new type of industrialization and rapid urbanization.Shown as,outward is expansionof the urban land;inward is intensive and composite land use.In this stage,many urbanissue appeared and triggered series adjustment of urban functional and structuralupdating.The urban industrial remains usually occupied the spot with great trafficconditions and low rent,and considered its historical value,physical space value andregional landscape and environmental value,urban industrial remains owns the valuebasis of regeneration.So it caught attention of many people.On the other hand,theindustrial structure has constantly changing from primary,secondary,tertiary structureto secondary,tertiary,primary or tertiary,secondary, primary structure.Manyindustrial enterprises experienced relocation,bankruptcy and operation adjustment,thestructural and functional urban space structure were changing by the renew of urbanindustrial land.During this process,many excellent industrial remains had beendestroyed overnight.The traditional industrial cities of China usually had some issues incommon,such as large proportion of industrial land,under estimated land revenue andpollution.The regeneration of urban industrial remains face not only the reconcile urbanland renew and patches to enhance the overall pressure on the environment but to fufillthe needs of sustainable development.This thesis take Xi’an as study object, the urban industrial remains have distinct regional characteristics,trying to use urban planning,architecture and some relateddisciplines method to find discussion and conclusion on regeneration mode selectionand design method.Proposed ultimate realization of industrial relics rationaldevelopment and utilization of resources.Firstly,we need to establish a set of operationaland ingrated assessment system,to assure its feasibility;to dig up its value;to divide theretention,renovation,demolish boundary and other issues,through the methods ofregeneration resorts assessment, overall planning approach, architectural regenerationand regional landscape design to do system analysis in order to propose practical designmethod for future industrial regeneration practice.
