With the rapid growth of domestic water conservancy, higher require-ments are put forward in the field of security operation and the Pump Station Monitor System (PSMS) has become increasingly urgent to improve efficiency and security. In combination with the actual situation of Xing-shi-po pumping station of Jiaodong Water Division Project, the thesis presents the function of the monitoring system and gives a design eventually.At first, the thesis analysis the development status and trend of the Pump Station Monitor System, points out the disadvantage and direction for PSMS, develops details standards for data sampling and processing, operation monitoring, accident alarming, system controlling and adjusting, data communicating, system protecting, direct current supplying, video monitoring. Represents requirement to the function and reliability.Second, combining with the actual situation of Xing-shi-po pumping station, the thesis proposes design principles for PSMS. Makes design for the PLC of automatic control system, especially for the start/Shutdown procedures. Finally, develops human-computer interface for PSMS by Intouch under the request of unity of Jiaodong Water Division Project.The thesis is based on the important subject for production safety and economic operation of Xing-shi-po pumping station. The research focused on reliability, advancement, flexibility and economic rationality of PSMS has important theoretical and realistic implication for automatic control of pumping station.
