Countryside in China has vast region and huge energy consumption, and the energy consumption accounts for 40 percent of total national building energy consumption. However, for the backward heating system and worse thermal performance of buildings, there still exists amounts of rural residences of which thermal environment in winter can’t meet residents’ basic requirements. With the expansion of new rural construction and the improvement of residents’ living standard, people put more and more attention on living environment, leading to the percentage of energy consumption gets much higher. Changing behind heating system and optimizing thermal performance of buildings can not only reduce unnecessary energy wasting, but also improve indoor thermal environment. Furthermore, it is the powerful safeguard of pushing rural transform forward scientific and a majority event in people’s livelihood.Targeting at rural residences in south Liaoning province, the study is made through different methods, such as field test, face to face communication, questionnaires and so on. And based on these data, with the simulation research methods, study the impact on indoors temperature of residential building envelope parameters, shape coefficient and the plane layout. Specific work is as follows:Firstly, based on the rural house space layout, the basic information of building envelope, the energy consumption, indoor environment investigation and continuous temperature of residence in winter. And indoor temperature of traditional rsident and new housing were studied in the region of southern in Liao Ning province in winter. Analyzing the building envelope, the way of heating in winter and the influence of solar radiation on the indoor temperature. The results show that the rural residential indoor thermal environment can not meet residents’ requirement of the thermal comfort.Secondly, according to the tested temperature, research on thermal comfort, rural living modern, residents’ activity and dressing, this paper studied the different demand of temperature of different room which plays different function. making the design temperature of rural residential heating, put forward rural residential the heating method.Thirdly, for the problem of building thermal performance and the plane layout of residential. To study the commonly used residential layout in research area building envelope thermal parameters as the research object, through the TRNSYS software simulation system, this paper studied the effects on indoor thermal environment of the residential exterior wall and roof insulation, residential form, plane layout, type of the window and air tightness and the window size, cross-bars. The results show that plain layout and north window size have the biggest influence on indoor thermal environment, followed by thermal insulation properties of wall and roof and residences’depth. The influence of south window size and height of residence is relative small. Based on the conclusion and the diversity of residents’ requirements, a series of saving energy and economic residences are offered.
