Design Of Embedded Smart Home System Based On ZigBee

With the rapid development of science and technology, IT has a profound influence on the development of home industry. The intelligent monitoring of household circumstances has become an important research topic and the development direction of home furnishing market. Through the research on the smart home system, many problems have been found, such as most of products have low cost performance, technical standards are not unified, the functions are not practical, etc. To solve these problems, this paper applies the ZigBee wireless sensor networks, embedded, WiFi, Android, and other advanced technologies comprehensively, designs a set of smart home system which has the anti-theft, anti-gas leak, temperature and humidity data acquisition, control of electrical equipment, and other functions, to provide a low cost, but full-featured smart home solutions for users.Firstly, this paper selects RT5350 development board as the embedded gateway of smart home system hardware platform, and selects the OpenWrt based on Linux operating system as the software development platform. By taking embedded gateway as the core, the paper achieves the design of each function module applications of smart home system, which includes the sensor data acquisition and electrical control, USB camera image acquisition and Android mobile phone control.Secondly, to design the data acquisition and control module, the paper uses the ZigBee wireless sensor network, utilizes a star network topology, selects CC2530 development board and various types of sensors as hardware platform, designs coordinator and terminal equipment of ZigBee network. In addition, in order to view real-time video of room clearly and smoothly, this system extends a USB camera on the embedded gateway hardware platforms to realize network video surveillance.Finally, an Android phone controller is designed for realizing the remote management of smart home system. This system uses the Socket communication way. The TCP server is configured on the embedded gateway. Users can access the server through a mobile client and realize the management of the smart home system on mobile devices.After the functional testing, this system can run stably and reliably. A feasible solution is provided for achieving the intelligent of home furnishing life. Furthermore, it lays the foundation of the development of actual product.
