With the Global Economic Integration and the high-speed development of information technology, the projects have more participants, longer project cycle, wider social effects and more influence factors, which leads that the scale and complexity of the project are increasing. At the same time, under the rapid development of human society, projects are in an environment whose complexity is increasing. And its space constrains is growing harsher. If the project has more serious space constraint, multiple processes that execute at the same time interact with each other in the limited space. The above factors make the security risk of the project increase sharply. If the project falls into a safety accident, it would not only result project schedule not working and out of control, but also cause casualties, financial losses badly, which brings huge losses to project. So, how to reduce the safety incident in the limited space of project as possible? In view of these, this paper studies the schedule of space-constrained project in safety perspective. It expects to reduce the security risk of space-constrained project at the planning stages of project management. Therefore, it changes the execution mode of parallel tasks that have serious influences each other and cause a safety accident easily in the space-constrained project to serial mode to reduce the security risk. On this basis, it would adapt mode of execution to decline safety risk and optimizes schedule of project and reflects it in the form of project network drawings finally to guide the project performing. And then it expects to reduce the security risk. It conducted the following research:Firstly, from studying typical space-constrained project, it summarizes some characteristics of them. They are limited, complex, intensive, collaborative, and dangerous. It tries to define "the space-constrained project". "The space-constrained project" is that working face of project operation is constrained by a specific space in the project performing. The space constraint refers to the space constraints of the whole projects and the space constraints of a certain part in the project. A project that the one or two space constraints exist in it can be regarded as a space-constrained project.Secondly, this dissertation summarizes the cause of space-constrained project safety accident and the characteristics through the study on safety accidents of typical space constrained project. The causes include project space shortage, improper implementation of project management, project environment unfavorable and features include severity, multiple, variability, complexity and secondary.Thirdly, it analyzes and summarizes the relationship between deficiency and limited space or traditional project time plan management of security. Based on the formulation of the traditional project management plan process time, author undertakes the design of time plan space constrained project safety from the perspective of the development process, and the optimization design model and algorithm. In order to validate the model and algorithm, the design of a numerical example has been verified, and verification results show that the proposed time planning process has quite validity, which not only reduces the project safety risk, but do not cause the project duration increases rapidly. Finally, author summarizes the main content of this study, the innovation and deficiencies. This study is the first attempt on the subject of "space-constrained project", and there might be many shortcomings. "Space-constrained project" is a broad research prospects with research topic so that author hopes that more and more scholars could pay attention to this research field.
