New Pattern Of Engineering Project Design Workflow Based On BIM Technology

Popularization and application of information technology provide a powerful impetus and effective technical means for the transformation and upgrading of construction industry, and enable the construction industry gradually moving towards the path of high efficiency, low energy consumption, low pollution, sustainable development.The emergence of Building Information Modeling(hereinafter referred to as BIM) is considered to be an important direction of the construction industry informationizing towards a higher level.The concept of BIM includes Building Information Model, Building Information Modeling and Building Information Management three levels of meaning. BIM technology should not only be used as a three-dimensional modeling software, it is more important in the creation and management of building information, linked the whole lifetime information together in engineering project. Through research in the application and research status of BIM technology at home and abroad, I found out some problems and obstacles in BIM applications, and chose the engineering design workflow in BIM application as research content. Find the flaws and shortcomings of traditional CAD-based design pattern and Incipient BIM-based design pattern by comparative analysis. Summarized a new pattern of BIM application in engineering design by using the Full-BIM design idea to sort out and optimize the workflow during the project design phase of each professional disciplines, discussing the organization of design team, BIM software selection and quanlity control of model according to the project management theory. At the same time, introduced the applications of this pattern in practice case, hoping to provide a reference for the design enterprise applications BIM technology.
