Being service-oriented public building and accompanied by the human’s entire process from birth to death, hospital building is the most energy-consuming among all kinds of buildings. In general, the electricity energy consumption accounts for 64% of the total energy consumption while the air-conditioning energy consumption accounts for 60.3% of electricity energy consumption when the hospital buildings are in normal operation. Thus, it will be the most crucial part to reduce the operating time and enhance the natural ventilation for reducing the energy consumption in hospital buildings. Good condition of natural ventilation can not only help reduce the energy consumption but also make it more confortable of the ward by replacing the interior obsolete air, adjusting the temperature and humidity. Therefore, it is of crucial significance for the hospital buildings to strengthen the indoor natural ventilation from both the point of view of buildings’ energy-reducing and the users’ comfort.Sorts of methods could be used to enhance the indoor natural ventilation, and the dissertation and relative literatures majoring in strengthening the natural ventilation of hospital’s in-patient department are too numerous to mention individually. However, nothing is worthy of mentioning of the literatures that talking about the indoor natural ventilation from the perspective of in-patient department’ plane form. Hence, on the basis of plane form, this paper makes in-depth discussion about the effecting factors and optimizing measures of the indoor natural ventilation, aiming to fill the gap in this academic field.Chapter one is the introduction. Based on the study on plenty of domestic and foreign relative materials and under the background of green building, the writer is to comb the existing researching results about ventilation of green hospital, combined with which the writer puts forward the researching direction and proposition.Chapter two is to classify the basic theories about natural ventilation and the plane form of hospital’s in-patient department. The detailed classification result about the related theories, the present standard and the plane form of the in-patient department is summed up by the writer through study and analysis on literatures.Chapter three is the research on the in-patient department’s natural ventilation status of the hospitals in Beijing. By way of field research, the writer visited three representative in-patient departments in Beijing and aggregated the result through carbon dioxide concentration and questionnaire survey judging the condition of indoor natural ventilation, and finally summed up the pros and cons and problems’ analysis of the three in-patient departments’ natural ventilationChapter four is about the in-patient department’s plane form’s effect on the natural ventilation. Firstly, with the software of FLUENT, the writer took simulation analysis on the external form of in-patient department with different orientations, summarized the forms that fit different orientation; Secondly, based on the simulation study on the natural ventilation of different plane forms, the writer put forward the key points in the designing of different plane forms; Finally, the writer come up with the concept of “ventilation wall” and brought forward the new method of natural ventilation of in-patient department in hospital.Chapter five is the conclusion and prospect.Supported by Beijing Municipal Science Fund Projects-Study on the after-use evaluation standard system of Hospital buildings(Grant No: KZ201110016019), this paper conducted the research about in-patient department of hospital buildings.
