Specilized from hotel specialization, "design hotel" is a social humanistic phenomenon that stem from the highly integration of design ideas and hotel cultures. The experiential aspect of design hotel thrived in this experience economy era and became a significant character distinguish it from traditional hotels. Design hotel involves not only basic facilities for hospitality but also effectively integrating sp-iritual satisfaction and inspiring experience for customers. This paper tried to apply experiential marketing theory into hotel designing, explore the experience modules for contemporary design hotel and investigate space design methods to improve customer experience.First, this paper defined the new concept and characteristics of "design hotel". Based on experiential marketing theory, this paper explored five basic strategic experience modules:Sense, Feel, Think, Act, and Relate used in hotel designing. With cases and examples, this paper analyzed how to convey designer’s vision, create aesthetic pleasure and build profound experience to customers through space and environment design. Based on the psychology theory, divide the experience modules into three levels, and clarify the relationship between marketing theory and experience space design. On this basis, summed up the environment design strategies for design hotel, and applied them in the author’s real project of design hotel. At last, this paper concluded the future developing trend of design hotel in order to make some contributions for design hotel theories.
