In the era of globalization, the design style of the hotel has gradually grown into a single mode of internationalization and standardization. With the gradual improvement of people’s consumption concept, many consumers have been tired of this kind of same traditional Stars Hotel. Customers pay more attention to the nourishment for their enjoyments than the material satisfaction when they check hotels. They except to behave as they do and want to cleanse their hearts and unfold their emotions when they rest their body and brain. And besides, what customers want more from the hotel are their incredible and typical memories. The boutique hotel just meets the demand of people to be the early adopters for its high uniqueness, originality and experience. One of the most important elements of linking people and place is the spatial experience, which can make people produce pleasant feelings inside and funny memories.By using literature researches, case analysis and other methods, this paper attempted to import the spatial experience theory into the space design of the boutique hotel and summarizes the design methods of enhancing the guests’ spatial experience. Firstly, based on the comprehensive analysis of the development trend and characteristics of the boutique hotel, the detailed introduction and definition of the boutique hotel were given. Secondly, this paper analyzed the relationship among space exercise, the spirit of place and emotional resonance and constructed the design elements with the feeling of space exercise of the boutique hotel by importing the space exercise. Those relationships and elements were given to experience the hotel in perception, emotion, memory, behavior and other modes of experience and explore the psychological and emotional impact on people of the spatial experience. Thirdly, the combination of the “images ” of space and “physical images” of space brings to participants deeper emotional experience.On the basis of the above theoretical research, this paper summarized the specific formation strategies of spatial experience in the Boutique hotel space. First, source materials collected from living experiences were distilled by designers into programming language and props, determining a space theme of physical image. Second, the space scene were arranged and organized according to a certain experience sequence(beginning, transition, climax, undertake, ending).To make the space more infectious, so that people’s experience process becomes more coherent and successful. Finally selected the Hangzhou Amanfayun boutique hotel went method analyses the spatial experience and research, is not only to enrich and perfect the existing theory, this paper is theoretical research of reality testing, and at the same time to the boutique hotel space design provides a certain theoretical basis for practice.
