Research On The Design Of Living Environment Of Older People With Dementia

With the in-depth development of the world population aging, the aging problem isincreasingly prominent in China.By the end of 2013,China’s 60 years of age and abovepopulation 202430000 people,accounting for 14.9% of the total population,65 years of age and above population 131610000 people,accounting for 9.7% of the total population.Compared with those of the relative physical health and can take care of themselves for the elderly,those caused by disease or injury itself such as dementia (also known as dementia)facing the problem becomes more and more complicated and serious.In such a background to through the analysis of Chengdu City dementia daily habits and living environment present situation investigation and the domestic and foreign outstanding case to carry on the study of the living environment of dementia,with a view to Chengdu City dementia related to living environment design reference, share the power to improve China’s dementia the quality of life of the elderly.In this paper, the author firstly current situation and development trend of aging in China focusto the issue of aging in China, then the necessity of aging population in China many leads todementia research and design of the living environment. Secondly,the theoretical research related to dementia living environment were summarized, so as to inspire the dementia associated with daily behavior characteristics after instructions and living environment of thesocial investigation and dementia living environment design strategy research, the concrete content includes environmental psychology, universal design, ergonomics and evidence-based design theory. After the get dementia living environment of social survey data were analyzed, to grasp the present environment situation and collected with dementia living environment design of residential dementia related data for this research, after the design strategy to provide realistic basis. Finally, the author based on the above theoretical research and social survey of dementia elderly living environment design strategy is summarized, the concrete design strategies including dementia elderlyliving indoor, outdoor environment.In this paper, the author mainly through literature research, questionnaire survey and field research means on the design strategy of dementia living environment was discussed and achieved certain results, the conclusion of the study to fill the domestic blank dementia living environment, and has a certain reference value for further research.
