Research On The Model Of Parking Pricing Based On Shared Parking Space In Mountainous City

With the rapid economic development of mountainous cities in our country, people’ life has improved a lot. The amount of cars is increasing year by year, which caused bigger and bigger parking demand. But because of the limitation of mountainous urban terrain, the construction and distribution of parking lot is not reasonable, which leads to a shortage of parking space supply. In view of the contradiction between parking space supply and demand, this paper establishes a model of parking pricing based on shared parking facilities in mountainous city so that parking resources can be used more reasonably,hoping the problem of insufficient parking space can be resolved in some extend.Firstly, this paper compares the mountainous city and plain city in transportation system, summarizing characteristics of mountainous city. After analyzing the present situation of parking issues, paper points out parking problem. Analyze several influence factors of parking behavior, sorts them according to influence degree. Investigate the influence of charge for parking behavior, proved the importance of parking charge means.Secondly, introduce the concept of parking shared in system,the conditions, two modes. On the basis of comparing the existing parking demand forecasting models, defines the parking sharing factor and considers sharing policy’s effect on the behavior of drivers. After modifying the parking sharing factor, establishing a new parking demand forecasting model to save land resources and improve the utilization efficiency.Then, analyze several commonly used pricing models and establish a parking price model in the view of profit maximization. Before all that, this paper introduce the purposes, principles, natures of parking charge. Analyze composes of cost and allocate it into annuity when considering the time value of capital. Assume that interest rates are stable, supply can meet demand, this paper establishes a parking pricing model based on shared parking facilities in mountainous city. Solve the model can get the right parking price in order to have most profits in a certain period. Then give an adjust procedure which can be used to change the price by parking space operator.At last, investigate two parking spaces to get their parking demand in different period. Analyze the data, it can be seen that both of the parking space meet the complementation of sharing condition, their demands has certain complementary to each other. Put data into above model can get the basic parking toll rate after sharing. The example shows that use the model can raise the utilization ratio of parking space, increase the income of parking lot owner and optimize the parking resource distribution. According the parking charge strategies in some countries, some suggestions are put forward on the shared parking pricing in Chongqing.
