The Imperial Gardens of Qing Dynasty is an important part in the study of history of Chinese Landscape Architecture. This paper takes Manchu culture and Imperial Gardens of Qing Dynasty as the object to study, and it aims to find out how Manchu culture influenced the Imperial Gardens of Qing Dynasty. Through in-depth study of spiritual culture, behavior culture and material culture, the paper selects typical view of nature, living customs and the characteristics of traditional residential buildings to explain how they influenced the Imperial Gardens of Qing Dynasty, by data analysis, investigation, comparation and conclusion. When it comes to the Imperial Gardens of Qing Dynasty, the study goes deep into the aim and the ideas of garden design, the site selection and the scale of garden, the buildings and the plant of garden, and the function of garden. The paper tells how view of nature, customs, traditional residence of Manchu culture influenced these aspects of Imperial Gardens of Qing Dynasty mentioned above. |
