The Design Of South Lake Community Service Center In Jianye District Nan Jing

South Lake Community Service Center Project lies within South Lake Community at the southeast corner of Jianye District, Nanjing. Next to famous sightseeing area Mochou Lake and South Lake Park, it has East South Lake Road to its north, Wenti Road to its east, West Wenti Road to its west, and the residential area to its south across a street. The planned project area is 8668 square meters and the construction land area is 8104 square meters.Around the project is mostly South Lake Community residential area, kindergarten and elementary and middle schools. Within the project are the old residential houses desperate for renovation. Residents around also need modernized facilities for their everyday life. This design is to build a modernized comprehensive service center for South Lake Community residents. This essay discusses the "ArtDeco" style of elevation deepen design and the open stone curtain wall, which maintain building quality after completion. It also discusses how the project is conducted within limited building area, how it is affected by the sunlight of residential areas and schools in the north, and how the functions are arranged in the community service center.The design of South Lake Community Service Center that I participated in began on April 2013. After several round of revision, the project completed its digital registration on March 2014, followed by the completion of expansion design on April 2014 and production drawing on May 2014.In the beginning, I analyzed and summarized the functional issues faced by current domestic and foreign community service centers and neighboring center and Singapore neighboring center model introduced to yangtze river delta area of China especially Suzhou industrial area. And on this basis, I focused on the "ArtDeco" elevation style and the current construction practices in the form of domestic open stone walls, and finally completed the design of the project.The whole design is divided into four parts:project overview, program design, elevation deepen design and results presentation. The significance of this study is to control the design of open stone curtain walls built by the late application and service centers in a large class of buildings It also can provide some practical experience can learn for the future "ArtDeco" style of architecture and the construction of stone curtain walls.The whole thesis contains about 13,445 words,28 pictures and charts.
