With the continuous development of sensor technology and communication technology, smart grid increasingly become the future development trend of the grid system, and collect power information in the smart grid has become the important part. Through sensor technology for electricity information collection make the grid always in condition monitoring.This paper mainly residential electricity as background information collection, dedicated to the design of a multi-interface based on multi-functional smart energy power line carrier, M-BUS and 3G wireless communication technology meter concentrator. In the smart meter reading system, which consists of remote management software, concentrators, and underlying smart meter components. Concentrator as a core device smart energy meter reading system acts as a bridge and link remote management software and the underlying meter communications.
