With the continued development of information technology and control technology, the strengthening of national environmental awareness, growing power plant environmental pollution problems, the development of power generation equipment optimal control software and use has become an effective measures of power plant efficiency, energy saving and environmental protection. using LabVIEW powerful information collection and analysis ability, design steam turbine cold end optimization software based on micro increases the output of the general calculation method, The software which can effectively improve the level of power plant efficiency, energy saving, environmental protection includes the design optimization of the steam turbine cold end, the optimization of operation and optimization of pump operation.Cold end design optimization module which be set according to the investment recovery period, fully considering the cold end equipment investment, market price, factory electricity cost, power grid load, the cooling water cost and water thermal pollution cost, can determine the best design of back pressure according to recovery period, provide a reference for power plant construction unit and design institute.The software can according to back pressure changes the amount of power to change, at the same time considering the cold end equipment investment, auxiliary power cost, cooling water use and water thermal pollution fees, to determine the best running back pressure, power plant income, and providing reference for power plant energy conservation and emissions reduction plan. Paper also to 310MW condensing steam turbine unit as an example, through the software gives the best back pressure, energy conservation and emissions reduction of the power plant achieved satisfactory results.Power plant circulating water system of steam turbine cold end is very important subsystem, It took control of the cooling water, so research and improve the optimized operation mode of the circulating water system has become one of the main aspects of the cold end optimization run. optimization pump operation module of the cold end optimization software can according to the load of power plant, environment temperature, power generation unit cost to determine the best cooling water and cooling water pump switch mode, so as to achieve the purpose of saving energy which the cooling water pump spend.
