As one of main non-destructive testing technology for solid rocket motor(SRM),radiographic testing has developed into a series of technologys characterized by advanced and integrated digital radiographic testing technology gradually, which can satisfy our detection requirements for higher accuracy. Considering factors such as detection sensitivity and detection efficiency comprehensively, although conventional radiographic testing there has some shortcomings such as inefficiency and low degree of automation, it is still the main approach of SRM nondestructive testing. In other words, digital radiographic testing can be a necessary and useful supplement rather than a substitute for conventional radiographic testing.In this paper, industrial application of SRM in radiographic inspection requirements as the starting point of our research work. Firstly, we point out the industrial characteristics of conventional radiographic inspection, and then industrial computed tomography (CT) motion control system are analyzed in the aspect of improve the degree of process automation. In the following, the design project of continuous detection with multiple film for SRM which industrial CT motion control system and conventional radiographic testing technology are integrated is put forward on the basis of our investigate and survey. According to the testing of the technology of the continuous detection with multiple film for SRM, the results showed that this technology can achieve the goal of continuous detection for SRM well, it also satisfy the practical application of radiographic inspection requirements excellently, improving the efficiency of radiographic inspection for the SRM resultfully.
