The technology of Ultrasonic testing has been widely applied in the thickness measurement and the debond testing of the solid rocket motor. However, the surface of the Spinning Texture solid rocket motor has even spinning texture, leading to texture noise in the debonding image, which affects the determination of the region and the area computation. This paper takes the spiral texture solid rocket motor as the study object, and has studied the image processing technology and the area computation method in the supersonic debond testing image.The paper analyzed the debonding image characters of the spiral texture and the noise source, and proposed the image filter's post-processing scheme by investigating the automatic detection process of the solid rocket motor. The time-domain filter and the frequency filter, such as the average value filter, the Wiener filter, the median value filter are used to carry on the debonding image processing and be compared on the merit and the shortcoming. According to the character of the image, select the layer 3 and the wavelet sym5, the debonding image is processed under different criterion, and the filter effect influence has been analyzed. Synthesizing the above processing result, It is known that it can't obtain the ideal noise reduction effect by adopting the single kind of filter technique, so the mix filter method is proposed based on the wavelet filter and the median value filter in order to eliminate the texture and extract the region in the debonding image.Based on the debonding image of de-nosing processing, the binarization processing of the debonding image is carried on adopting local mean and local standard variance threshold method, which the processing result can discriminate the debonding region and the no-debonding region. The debonding areas are calculated by several kinds of commonly characteristic region area computation method. The results indicate that it has relatively high measuring accuracy using the triangle traversal law and the chain code law, which quite approaches the actual measurement area and satisfies the actual examination request.In brief, the paper research results have certain significance and the reference value regarding the supersonic examination technology on the application of the solid rocket motor.
