With the rapid development of economy, energy shortage has become more and more obvious in China, and recovery and utilization of waste heat resources have important economic and environmental protection benefits. Iron and steel enterprises cause large energy consumptions, and sintering, an important process in iron and steel production, the most part energy consumptions of which process are along with the heat loss of sintering machine and circular cooler waste. So, the iron and steel enterprise energy efficiency can be greatly improved to recover and utilize the waste heat of this part through producing steam to generate electricity by using waste heat boiler and steam turbine and other equipments.Through consulting relevant literature, combining with the domestic and foreign research progress, to have an understand of current situation of sintering waste heat utilization, according to the technology of gas waste heat utilization in sintering process of a certain iron company, this paper designs a waste heat power generation system of this project.First of all, this paper discusses the flash system and dual pressure system in detail, calculating the product parameters of every system, comparing the thermal efficiency, energy efficiency and thermal performance, the most suitable waste heat boiler system in this project can be chosen. Secondly, this paper designs three kinds of sintering machines, circular cooler waste heat combination generation systems, a process simulation is implemented by using Aspen Plus software, to get each node parameters of the system, to calculate the efficiency of waste heat boiler, steam turbine and generator and other equipments, and the best waste heat power generation system can be selected by combing with the actual situation of this project. Then, this paper aims at the identified circular cooler waste heat power generation system, to have a design and calculation analysis of waste heat boiler by using C++, Excel software, and at the same time, also has a selection and analysis of the waste heat power generation system and other auxiliary equipments.Finally, the economic analysis of the iron sintering waste heat power generation project of this company has been implemented, then, from the economic, environmental, social and other aspects, a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the benefit in this design scheme has also been obtained. The results of the study show that the construction of the sintering waste heat power generation system, not only can bring great economic benefits to the enterprise, also can bring significant environmental benefits and social benefits.
