As an important constituent part of public transportation system, city bus plays a significant role on reliving the traffic pressure. But there are some problems such as large busload, frequent use of bus, lading behind of the present vehicle-mounted system, which lead to a huge potential safety hazard and un-humanization. So a bus-mounted intelligent system based on ZigBee was designed in this thesis.Firstly, the concept, function and characteristic of bus-mounted intelligent system were set forth based on the current situation about intellectualization of public transportation and development of ZigBee technology. The hardware platform were designed, using CC2430 RF chip as hardware core. Including temperature acquisition node, brightness acquisition node, tire pressure acquisition node and door status acquisition node were mainly responsible for data collection, data displaying and alarming node were mainly responsible for data receiving and auxiliary driving. Secondly, the compiled environment IAR Embedded Workbench used in software design, the net building between acquisition nodes and data displaying and alarming node were introduced base on Z-Stack protocol stack. According to the hardware platform of system, corresponding devices and application objects were added to the application layer and hardware driver layer of protocol stack. Data transceiver program, display program for LCD and other programs were written based on working principle. Then the modified protocol stack was transplanted to development platform, thereby realizing system operation.Finally, the system simulation test was presented. Through communication test between four types of nodes and data control node, and functional test of total system, it is proved the system can accomplish communication between the nodes, preset working task, improvement of road safety and anti-interference. The goal for energy conservation and intelligent alarming has been realized.
