Dynamic Consolidation Method (DCM) is initiated in Menard Technical Company, French,1969. List the heavy hammerfalls to a certain distance using the crane, and fall it to the foundation freely and then the foundation soli under the great shock and vibration, so we can improve the foundation strength and reduce the compression. Dynamic consolidation method is a kind of wide scope and cost-effective foundation treatment method, which has been widely applied in construction engineering, therefore. So it is very important theoretical significance and value of engineering applications for the further study on the foundation treatment theory of dynamic consolidation method in the mountainous high embankment treatment.Firstly, the paper discusses the common foundation treatment method and its application conditions and advantages and disadvantages comprehensively, especially highlights the reasons for selecting the dynamic consolidation method in the mountainous high embankment treatment. Dynamic consolidation method has many advantages, such as the significant reinforcement effect, the simple equipments and construction process, saving raw materials and the low cost.In particular, it has a great advantage in dealing with the mountainous high embankment, which is constitute of the stone and gravel mostly.Secondly, the paper describes the construction process characteristics and process of the dynamic consolidation treatment of high embankment, especially on analysis of the mechanism of dynamic consolidation. Through a practical project, we discuss the technology parameters determination. When we design the key technical parameters of dynamic consolidation, such as click tamping energy, tamping several times, intermittent time, tamping point arrangement and rammed spacing, not only purely use theoretical formula to determine, but also based on the relevant units.Finally, in this paper, the rayleigh wave method is applied to test the dynamic consolidation effective consolidated depth. Surface wave velocity contour map and surface wave dispersion curves are generated, which are used to analyze the causes and find the law. The plate loading method is applied to test the bearing capacity for foundation soil. The test results show that the dynamic consolidation treatment has achieved expected effects, and it can provide reference for similar works in the future.
