With the explosive development of China’s high-speed railway, high speed EMU trains have been massive operated. The problem of running security is getting more and more attention. As an essential link of the operation, it can ensure the train’s running preparation, maintenance and servicing operation. Higher demands on operating security have been proposed, which is significant for running’s security punctuality and High efficiency.When trains running on the railway currently, the column control vehicle equipment, train operation monitoring device (LKJ) can monitor its running, automatic control of the train’s running security has been realized. But in EMU shunting operation, there still need widely manual to control speed, confirm shunting signal, ground identification and braking distance judgment, especially in the night, the storm, snow and other bad sight, the difficulty of artificial manipulation gets larger, it could easily cause shunting safety accidents, high security risks and hazards has been existed.In this thesis, it has analyzed the figure of EMU shunting operation, the demands has been find out,and the plan has been made for EMU shunting control. Based on previous column control vehicle equipment, drawing the control scheme of train control equipment, train operation monitoring device (LKJ), wireless shunting locomotive signal and monitoring system (STP),it has proposed design and development plan for EMU shunting proof system based on transponder technology.In this thesis, it has studied the basic needs, function, application, performance, reliability, maintainability, and security of EMU shunting protection system, clarified development purpose and steps, determined detailed design proposal and the compatibility of the technology parameters.With the condition does not change EMU vehicle equipment, send control information to the EMU shunting operation through transponder on the ground, and it is applicable in the whole railway EMU trains.The applications of actually installation the system prototype and the simulated protection test on each type of EMU under the shunting mode have been processed. The result shows that the system can protect the EMU shunting operations and achieve the design purpose, and it will also be able to meet the actual needs of the site.
