Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is located in the southwest border, specifically, is Sichuan border with Tibet. Due to the local unique landform, the influence of the variety of climatic conditions and the trade-economic stimulation after The Tea-Horse Road was opened; it created the unique ethnic customs, formed the characteristics of cities and towns, gave birth to the colorful ethnic culture and make the shape a variety of Tibetan dwellings. Based on assortment and study of Town Tibetan dwellings in this area, not only can carry on the supplement of Tibetan traditional residential culture, but also can enrich our country’s building type and providing a certain reference value of research on Multiculturalism of Architecture.Town Tibetan dwellings along the northern avenue were evolved gradually in a pluralistic environment which has both the closed independence caused by the early natural conditions, and the multiple extroversion caused by the diversity of Post-Road, commercial economy, the influence of migrations of Han and "Mainland - orientated" trend. Under the action of nature conditions, the different expressions of morphology and structure of local Tibetan dwellings is due to the different living environment, construction materials, etc. in towns along the northern avenue. Under the action of Post-Road economy and trade activities, the modes of production, life-styles along the Town Tibetan dwellings maintained similarity, which leads dwellings use function and internal structure has certain relevance.This paper studies the shape of Tibetan dwellings along the northern part of The Tea-Horse Road in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Region. Firstly, it introduces the aim of the study and the recent research in domestic and overseas. Secondly, elaborates on the development of the northern part of The Tea-Horse Road and its impact of economic formations, humanistic environment, settlement pattern and residential architecture in towns along the north avenue. Combining the special natural conditions and cultural conditions of it, and give a comprehensive describe of development history and final evolution of the results of the town and Tibetan dwellings in town. Then, focus on the analysis, description and summary of Tibetan dwellings morphological in each town along The Tea-Horse Road. Lastly, through the analysis of the conclusions and combined with current development situation of the Tibetan dwellings in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, the strategies were put forward for The Tea-Horse Road cultural heritage protection and some concrete measures were put forward to settle protection and development problems of Tibetan dwellings. |
