Design Methods Of Rural Hotel Architecture And Landscape’s Integration In The Chengdu Plain

Under the background of urban-rural integration in the current era, rural tourism industry is booming in the Chengdu plain. Rural hotels, as an indispensable and important carrier in the link of rural tourism, not only present the landscape characteristics of villages but also carry the yearning of passengers to rural life. They are the important embodiment of rural landscapes.Besides, the contemporary architectural design is no longer just focusing on building itself, but considers the landscape and architecture as the same importance in order to implement the harmonious coexistence of architecture and landscape. Because of their rich landscape attributes and touring demands, rural hotels perform closely on the combination of architecture and landscape. In this paper, the country hotels of the Chengdu plain are considered as the research object. It explores the design methods of rural hotel architecture and landscape’s integration.First of all, on the basis of research background and the confirmation of the major topic, the paper makes a thorough analysis of the significance, purposes and the present research situation of the study and puts forward its research methods and framework structure.Secondly, the paper presents the related theories of rural hotel, rural landscape and the integration of architecture and landscape, and then expounds the classifications and characteristics of definitions and then analyzes and summarizes the rural hotels through four typical cases at home and abroad.Thirdly, it chooses the birthplace of rural hotels in the Chengdu plain. Pi County, as the research base and nine representative rural hotels as field investigation. And their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed and summarized.Fourthly, the consumer group of rural hotels is firstly researched and analyzed, and then the present development situation of the rural hotel, characteristics of classification and constitution of functions are analyzed according to the results of field investigation of rural hotels in the Chengdu plain and the landscape component factors and landscape generalities of rural hotels are also summed up. Based on these analyses, it gets the design methods of architecture and landscape’s integration.Fifthly, under the guiding principles of architecture and landscape’s integration, it proposes the design strategies of rural hotel architecture and landscape’s integration in the Chengdu plain. Levels of rural hotels’ location, field design, architectural design and environmental art are respectively explored in depth. It aims to put forward the corresponding design methods and guiding advices.
