Sloping Roof Design Reserch Of Rural House In Chengdu Plain

Sloping roof is the most common form of Chinese traditional architectural roof, this form is widely used initially because of its structural stability, strong climate adaptability, and many other advantages. Later, in the long-term development of the sloping roof construction, its form has occurred a series evolution, the multi-level function has been excavated, the cultural connotations have also been continuously enriched and expanded. Now, different forms sloping roof has become the carrier of different regional culture and architectural culture in various regions. At the same time as the development of new technologies and materials to provide more potential for sloping roof design, the new design concept and new design requirements for sloping roof design also presents new challenges.The sloping roof form has always been very popular in the rural areas of Chengdu. In the new rural construction of Chengdu, there are a large number of sloping roof design examples, which also revealed some practical problems associated with the sloping roof design. With the improvement of technology and thinking of building awareness, people have new demands for interior comfort and exterior ornamental of the rural residential. People expect the traditional sloping roof forms to get more reasonable changes, and capable to carry more multi-level functional requirements.Firstly, this article clears the background, significance and purposes of the research, reviews relevant research at home and abroad, and determines the research methods and research framework of this thesis. Then, the author analysis the geographical background of Chengdu Plain, and describes the status of rural residential and the sloping roof by a large number of data collection and field research, and then summarizes the problems of the rural residential sloping roof. The third chapter analyzes the sloping roof of rural houses in Chengdu Plain through the sloping roof frame system, the form of the sloping roof, the roof design, detailed decoration, and the combination and changes of the sloping roof and so on. The fourth chapter analyzes the functions of rural residential sloping roof in the adaptation function, use of space capabilities, and cultural expression. The fifth chapter, proposes design principles and strategies for the sloping roof of rural houses in Chengdu Plain on the basis of the previous analysis, in order to provide some valuable proposal for future rural residential construction of Chengdu Plain.
